Delta State Director-General of the Bureau of Orientation, Barrister Eugene Azuka Uzum, has advised Politicians in the state not to distract Governor Ifeanyi Okowa ahead of 2023.
Barr Uzum stated that some stakeholders should not embark on voyages capable of distracting the Governor and heating up the polity.
Speaking further, he stressed that a fresh mandate has just been handed to HE so he should be allowed to focus, deliver on his smart initiatives and finish strong.
Barrister Uzum gave the advice on Saturday when some Politicians visited him in his residence at Warri.
The Orientation boss said that the Governor is presently preoccupied with serious governance.
He warned politicians not to attempt to distract the Governor with politics of 2023, as that will amount to a disservice on Deltans and can be counterproductive.
He further stated that the Politics of 2023 is way too far to take the front burner with consultations and opined that the Governor has done very well in his first tenure so he should be given all the support required to deliver more.
His words, ” All consultations should be geared towards the needs assessment and delivery for Deltans and not the revise”. He added.
